Control is what we need- appetite control, calorie control, self-control. PHP’s Control contains ingredients that have several functions- to help take the edge off your cravings, help you feel satisfied faster and to help reduce the impact of high carbohydrates and sugar foods, lessening the possibility that your body will convert them into fat cells. As an added benefit it helps provide mental alertness, endurance, and stamina.
What is in Control?
Nopal (Opuntia Streptacantha):
Promotes weight loss by absorbing water and providing a feeling of satiety. It has a positive effect on blood sugar, helping reduce the appetite and control carbohydrate cravings. It can also reduce cholesterol by promoting the excretion of fats from the body, and aids digestion by absorbing toxins from the bowel as well as increasing the rate at which food passes through the system. Opuntia®, an amazing herb, grows prolifically in the Mexican desert and is often recommended for diabetics for its ability to help stabilize blood glucose. It also has a well-deserved reputation as a weight-loss aid. Nopal is a succulent cactus, native to Mexico and SW USA, where its use as a food and medicine dates back to the ancient Aztecs. Today, the Nopal stems or pads, and cactus fruit, make up part of the staple diet of indigenous Mexicans who cook the leaves as a vegetable for use in soups and salads. Nopal is a rich source of insoluble and soluble fiber including lignan, cellulose, pectin, mucilage’s and gums and a good source of vitamins A, B1, B3, and C and the minerals potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, and 18 different amino acids essential for optimum health.
Inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids in the liver and promotes an increased availability of glycogen in the liver, thus sending a “full” signal to the brain sooner. Scientific studies show that Citrin® can help curb the cravings that lead to binging. In 1991, Citrin was introduced to the health food industry as the first all-natural plant extract standardized for hydroxycitric acid. This unique extract comes from premium, hand-harvested, Garcinia cambogia fruits grown in selected regions of southern India.
Green Tea Extract:
Research has found that green tea increases the amount of energy spent by the body and holds promise as a treatment for obesity and other weight problems. Green tea has long been associated with health benefits. Recent research has found that green tea increases the amount of energy spent by the body, and thus possibly contributes to a weight loss benefit. Green tea reduces body fat accretion caused by high-fat diet in rats through beta-adrenoceptor activation of thermogenesis in brown adipose tissue. A team of doctors working at the University of Geneva concluded that “green tea has thermogenic properties and promotes fat oxidation beyond that explained by its caffeine content perse.” Similar research conducted by doctors in Switzerland also confirms the thermogenic properties of green tea.
American Ginseng (Panax quinquefolius):
Dr Lin Yutang, a Chinese research scientist who spent a lifetime learning about ginseng, summed up his work by saying that, “the magic tonic and building qualities of ginseng are the most enduring, the most energy-giving, restorative qualities known to mankind, yet it is distinguished by the slowness and gentleness of its action.” More modern research has been done on ginseng than all the other herbs combined. Scientific research is incredibly expensive, the wealth of testing being done on American ginseng gives you an idea of its importance in the minds of researchers today.
White Kidney Bean Extract (Phaseolus Vulgaris):
Blocks the absorption of the starchy foods you eat, such as bread, pasta, rice, and grains, and also blocks the action of an enzyme called alpha amalyase. By eliminating a percentage of starchy calories metabolized into blood sugar, your body will store less fat and consequently burn more of the fat stores you already have accumulated. Kidney bean extract is scientifically proven to neutralize starch found in your favorite foods such as potatoes, breads, pasta, rice, corn, and crackers.
